C93 (Coolsingel 93) transforms from 26,000 m2 single tenant to a 30,000 m2 Paris Proof multi-tenant office. The existing tower will be topped from 80 to 100 meters high. This uplift is possible because the tower's energetically and technically rejected facade - consisting of 4-centimeter-thick slabs of pink Brazilian marble - has been removed. The weight savings from this makes the expansion on top of the tower possible while maintaining the existing structure and foundation. The marble is ground up and processed into new, lighter slabs to be used as cladding for a well-insulated facade shell.

This application succeeded in respectfully transforming one of Rotterdam's youngest monuments to the next sustainable layer of time. But also by reusing construction and materials, it has succeeded in being Paris Proof on embodied carbon
